When we think regarding small films, we immediately imagine a decoration that follows the “minimum” space standard: small sofa, small table, small kitchen and so on. But duplex coverage of 80m2 (not total!) Dori Neto proves exactly the opposite: the golden tip is to make the most of spaces and lengthen them through furniture.

Thus, the living room has a spacious sofa that extends to the integrated balcony, a solid wood table generous it crosses the living room and joins an integrated kitchen with everything necessary for delicious dinner evenings. To achieve this result, the apartment had to undergo a complete renovationwhich was done as soon as the plant was purchased, with a project signed by Caracho Arquitetos.

The big emphasis on the roof is the oak wooden cube-shaped staircase with LED handrails. But so many other details make the tour of the apartment a true book of tips of use of spaces e optimization: the TV attached to the living room panel and which can be used in two directions, the storage spaces created, the cool and casual atmosphere of the decor and the good taste and self-assurance ofDori Neto.

Valentine’s House: What were the main changes to the layout?

Dori Neto: On the lower floor, the balcony was removed and transformed into a living room, the toilet moved from the lower floor to the second floor, and the kitchen was built in the place where the toilet was located (counter overlooking the window). A toilet was built on the top floor, and the size of the suite’s bathroom was increased, slightly reducing the size of the room for both adaptations.

Valentine’s House: What were the main challenges of the project?

Dori Neto: Optimize the space of the apartment and make everything fit in a small space, as we are a couple, the project has to accommodate things from both of us.

Valentine’s House: And what do you highlight in the apartment?

Dori Neto: Certainly the fact that the “back wall”, both below and above, has been transformed into a large window that opens completely, bringing a beautiful view and greater amplitude and feeling of space, in addition to integrating the city into the project.

Valentine’s House: And what was the biggest insight related to the project?

Dori Neto: The staircase that became the most beautiful space in the apartment, like a large cube in oak wood with an LED handrail connecting the two floors. It gave air cool e chic to the project.
