After 9 weeks of intense competition, the outcome for the 8 finalists of The Voice Kids season 2 has arrived. Who from the young mother Typh Barrow (with Elsa and Mattia), Matthew Irons (with Lucie and Mahdi), Black M (with Elena and Martina) or Alice on The Roof (with the phenomenon Tiliano and Malou) will take their talent to the summit and will thus succeed Océana, winner of the first edition?
After a first stage which saw four finalists emerge (Lucie from the Matthew Irons team, Mattia from the Typh Barrow team, Elena from the Black M team and Tiliano from the formidable Alice on the roof team) among the last eight eleven-year-old candidates. and a half middle-aged girls (including the touching 9-year-old youngest, Elsa), it is therefore “the UFO of this season” Elena who wins this final of The Voice kids 2 with her coach Black M. After captivating on du Sia (Flames) during the Blinds, followed by Rihanna (Diamonds) during the KOs before perfecting her access to the final on Adèle (Don’t you remember), the young girl now aged 11 (10 years old during of the broadcast recording) has once once more amazed us, assembled with two thrilling performances on Amel Bent (Where I go) or even Queen B, aka Beyoncé (Halo), to finish in style and put everyone in awe agreement. The neutral panel of 100 voters decided: Black talent wins hands down this season 2 of The Voice Kids.

After a few bloopers from this season (like Alice’s jokes or Matthew’s language tics), a performance by Black M on Grandir, by Typh Barrow on his new single or even by Oasis by Jérémie Makiese (winner of the season 9 of The Voice and former Belgian representative at Eurovision), Elena leaves with the trophy, a family weekend in Efteling but also and above all a scholarship of 10,000 euros for her studies and a contract with Universal Music. His first single, Your Kind of Pretty, was released on November 22 and shows the maturity of this young star in the making who evokes the dictates of society and this thirst for freedom specific to today’s youth.

Elena Kabongo, 11 years old, is a young Belgian artist. Passionate regarding music since a young age, Elena has been singing since she might speak. She took her first singing and music theory lessons at the age of 6. She has also been taking piano lessons for a year. Inspired by great vocal singers such as Amel Bent, Olivia Rodrigo, Rihanna and Sia, Elena quickly decided that she would like to turn her passion into her profession. Besides singing, Elena also loves dancing, particularly with her two older sisters. One thing is clear, when Elena is surrounded by music and she sings, she feels alive. At only 11 years old, Elena participates in the second season of The Voice Kids Belgium. During her blind, she performed “Flames” by Sia and unanimously won over the four coaches who praised her technique. She finally chose to join the Black M team and, following having successfully climbed each stage, saw herself as the big winner of this second edition. It is accompanied by the talented Isa Tengblad and Maxine Van Breukelen that Elena begins her journey towards the creation of her first single: “Your Kind Of Pretty”. A young girl full of ambition and convictions, she sings regarding refusing to adhere to the dictates of current society and aspires to more freedom. “Beyond the melody and rhythm of the song, what I particularly like is the message conveyed by it, namely the fact of assuming your personality.” In one single, Elena reveals more than a powerful and melodic voice: a future great artist.
