Considering how much revenue it brings in every year, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of slowing down, even if the mainline game isn’t as impressive as it once was. Speaking to The Guardian , Pokémon chief operating officer Takato Utsunomiya also doesn’t have any plans to give the franchise a break. “Our goal is to keep Pokémon alive for hundreds of years – making sure it survives our lifetimes,” he said.
