Senegal achieved a good harvest at the end of the 7th edition of the Yaoundé Open. The African champion Mbagnick Ndiaye (+100kg) and Monica Sagna (+78 kh) did the job in Cameroon where they gleaned five gold medals and a Bronze medal.
The Gaïndé du Tatami remain on very good momentum following their performances at the Dakar Open. The Senegalese heavyweights, Abderahmane Diao and Mbagnick Ndiaye (+100 kg) did not tremble when making the decision. Indeed, Mbagnick Ndiaye, three times African champion, won gold as did Abderahmane Diao in the -90kg category.
Still among the Senegalese judokas who won gold medals, we can cite, among the ladies, the formidable Monica Sagna (+78 kg) who gave nothing away to her opponents. Ditto for Seydou Bacary Djimera (-55 kg) and Moussa Diop (-60 kg.)
Finally, the French naturalized Senegalese, Léa Buet (-52 kg), settled for the bronze medal.
