Starfield: update releases DLSS on PC and adds optimizations and fixes

The Starfield game received update 1.8.86 with several new features and improvements for Bethesda’s RPG. Among the highlights are the release of DLSS for PC players, as well as other optimizations and fixes for bugs present in production.

The biggest aspect of this update is the addition of official NVIDIA DLSS support, which should improve PC game performance for gamers with graphics cards that support DLSS, DLAA, Reflex Low Latency, and/or frame generation.

It is worth noting that Bethesda previously said that the technology equivalent to AMD’s DLSS 3, FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, will also receive support in Starfield. However, it did not provide a deadline for the launch of this feature for the game.

While it’s not a huge change, Starfield players will also be able to eat or drink food they find in the universe without having to pick it up first. Everything can be ingested or placed in the inventory by hovering over them.
