(Boursier.com) — Orange recently partnered with Spotify, the world’s leading music streaming platform, to offer its mobile customers a musical experience. By offering additional data volumes to access the Spotify service for free, Orange is strengthening its position as an all-in-one entertainment service provider.
With Orange’s large community of mobile users on the African continent, Spotify will be able to promote local talents by introducing them to a wider audience. This strategic partnership will constitute a major step forward for Orange towards improving the musical experience in the African digital landscape, in particular by promoting a deeper connection with cultural and entertainment elements.
With a global community of more than 551 million active listeners each month, including 220 million subscribers, Spotify offers a wide range of African and international artists to listen to with a library of more than 82 million tracks. Orange customers can now benefit from this personalized and enriching musical experience by, for example, creating their own playlists.
Orange is currently studying the possibilities of extending this offer to other countries.
