Concacaf Fair Play: Honduras Coach’s Immigration Hassle and Expectations for Mexico Match

“We spent two hours at Immigration checking our luggage, something that is unheard of to happen in Concacaf, especially with everything that fair play means as FIFA says.

“This lack of reciprocity, of hospitality by sometimes retaining luggage, confiscating it and charging taxes for certain technological medical devices that we use and having to pay taxes for a few hours that we are going to be here, when they are used devices that all the selections in the world use,” he said.

The Honduras coach added that he expects fair refereeing at the Azteca, which will be in charge of the Salvadoran central referee Iván Barton.

“Hopefully there will be well-balanced refereeing that controls the game well, that will be important. Neutralizing Mexico will be very important.”

The Mexican National Team will seek to overcome the 2-0 defeat once morest Honduras with the help of the home team at the Azteca Stadium in search of the Semifinals of the Concacaf tournament and the direct ticket to the Copa América 2024.
