Jerusalem: Israel finds that Hamas did not plan to attack the October 7th Supernova music festival. Media such as Channel 12 and Haaretz reported this, citing the Israeli police’s first information report. Hamas fighters aimed to attack the settlement areas along the Gaza border. Israel also estimates that the music festival may have come to their attention via drones or parachute landing.

Israel says that 4,400 people participated in the event. 364 people were killed in the attack here. Haaretz reported, citing Israeli security officials, that the captured Hamas fighters were interrogated and learned that there was no plan to attack the music festival.

The music festival venue was not on the route map found on the bodies of the slain Hamas fighters. Haaretz reports that Hamas fighters arrived at the music festival from a nearby highway and not from the border, confirming Israel’s assessment.

The program was scheduled to be held on Thursday and Friday. It was decided to extend the program by one more day on Tuesday. The Haaretz report also states that most of the participants were able to escape as they decided to cancel the event when the rocket attack took place.

The Haaretz report also alleges that Israel was involved in the high death toll at the Nova Music Festival. Haaretz reports that Israeli citizens have also been killed in the attack carried out by Israel targeting Hamas fighters.
