Apple made a slight increase in battery capacity from one year to the next, going from 4,323 mAh in the 14 Pro Max to 4,441 mAh in the 15 Pro Max. What did this result in practice? In our tests, we saw a gain of more than five hours from one to the other, with 32 hours of autonomy on the recent cell phone. This shows that more efficient hardware weighed in here.
But the improvement was not repeated when we talk regarding recharging. The newer iPhone takes almost two hours to reach 100%, compared to around an hour and a half for the old smartphone to complete the process.

Both have a triple set of cameras, which may look the same on paper, but we have some improvements for the newer one. The 48 MP main one takes sharper photos on the 15 Pro Max, thanks to higher resolution captures by default, without compressing four pixels into one. At night, the good performance of the 14 Pro Max was maintained in its successor.
The 12-megapixel telephoto lens went from an optimal maximum zoom of three times in the old model to five times in the recent one, focusing on more distant shots with less loss. Only the ultrawide is exactly the same as before, but has received better anti-reflective resistance to improve HDR and night mode.
With consistent camera advances, the 2023 iPhone takes note.
