The director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, Muhammad Abu Salima, announced the death of all patients in the hospital’s intensive care department, due to the Israeli siege on the medical complex.
According to Sky News, Abu Salima said that more than 54 people in intensive care have died since the start of the Israeli siege.
He noted that the only feature now in Al-Shifa Hospital is death, as treatment, water and oxygen are not available in the hospital, due to the siege imposed on the medical complex for more than a week.
Abu Salamiya told the BBC that Israeli soldiers enter all departments of the hospital to search them.
Abu Salima added that since Thursday morning, Israeli army personnel began a sweeping operation in the northern and western areas of the hospital, including the area of the burns building, the central pharmacy, and the dialysis department.
Abu Salamiya described the situation inside the hospital as catastrophic and tragic.
Today, Friday, Palestinian Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kaila, announced the death of 40 people, including three newborn babies, within six days, as a result of the Israeli siege imposed on Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City.
Al-Kaila said: “Since November 11, and the start of the Israeli army’s siege of Al-Shifa Hospital, 40 people have been killed, including three newborn babies, as a result of the siege imposed on the hospital and the lack of fuel for electricity. Our doctors there are without water and food.”
