The licensed mayor of Cuajimalpa, Adrián Rubalcava, resigned from the PRI following the designation of Santiago Taboada as a pre-candidate of the opposition front for the Head of Government.

He regretted that a summit agreement had been reached to appoint a person who is linked to irregular constructions, and he sent word to the national president of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, that he has no say.

During the press conference where the mayor of Cuajimalpa announced his retirement from the party, Sandra Cuevas came to offer her support for his decision to withdraw from the opposition front.

“You have my support, you have my love and you have Cuauhtémoc, so that we can fight wherever we have to,” commented Mayor Sandra Cuevas, since for her support is done head-on.

The mayor of Cuauhtémoc did not issue any position on whether she will abandon the front along with Rubalcava or not, however, she reiterated that they will continue working for Mexico City.
