Patrick Kane is ready to return to the National League and is reportedly shopping around for organizations he is interested in.
The 34-year-old veteran is a free agent by choice. He had hip surgery this summer and wanted to be back to 100% before joining training. He would also have chosen patience in order to see which teams would experience success.

Last Tuesday, journalist John Shannon claimed that Kane had met with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The scribe, however, retracted his comments two days later, declaring that the meeting between the player and the Queen City organization ultimately did not take place.
Kane is reportedly looking for a team with which he can stay for more than one season. The Maple Leafs are already very tight under the salary cap and Auston Matthews’ new deal – which will begin in 2024-2025 – will not make their lives any easier in that regard.
According to the TSN network, the Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers, Detroit Red Wings, Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars and Tampa Bay Lightning are all in the running for Kane.
The winger known for his feints with the puck has amassed 57 points (21 goals and 26 assists) in 73 games in 2022-2023, having worn the colors of the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers.
