In anticipation of this memorable day, the Patriots plan to organize large rallies or marches in the 46 departments of the country. They hope to see Ousmane Sonko rehabilitated by the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court. Ziguinchor will vibrate to the rhythm of a night vigil from 9 p.m., at the Diatir field, in Lyndiane. Beyond Ousmane Sonko, they also demand the release of all political detainees.
The other departments and municipalities have already submitted their information letter to the prefectures. All denounce the fragility of the troubled rule of law in Senegal, characterized by confiscation of freedoms and arrests at every turn.
