Building on a decade of work dedicated to environmental health, the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs (Igas) will bring together institutional actors, researchers, and economists during its conference dedicated to environmental health on November 23.
As defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), environmental health encompasses the multiple aspects of human health, including quality of life, determined by physical, chemical, biological, social, psychosocial, and aesthetic factors. of our environment. This integral approach also concerns policies and practices for management, resorption, control, and prevention of environmental factors that may affect the health of current and future generations.
This conference is fully in line with global and international approaches to health as well as the major issues of ecological transition. At the heart of the discussions, fundamental themes will be explored, such as the characterization of environmental risks, levers for mobilizing citizens, and the necessary adaptation of our health systems in the face of global changes already perceptible in health.
Through a multidisciplinary and societal approach, this conference will also propose new modes of action to make our environment more balanced and respectful of health.
