The Grand Place Christmas tree has arrived. “Around 7:45 a.m., it will be erected on the square, the hole has already been made to accommodate the tree on the ground,” reported our journalist Romain Mayez sent on site for RTLINFO. The conifer was cut yesterday, Wednesday November 15, in Lier in the province of Antwerp.
This year, the Christmas tree will be decorated with symbols representative of the eleven Indigenous Nations of Quebec, the guest of honor of Winter Wonders: a star, an inukshuk, snowshoes and a dream catcher, carved in wood by the craftsman Pascal Sioui.
Although it will be installed this Thursday, the tree will come to life for the very first time on Friday, November 24, during the opening of the Plaisirs d’Hiver from 6 p.m.
