This Wednesday followingnoon, clearings will alternate with cloudy periods and localized showers, less intense than the previous days and mainly affecting the south of the country, announces the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM). The weather will become more gloomy from Thursday.
Under this changing sky, temperatures will vary between 7 or 8 degrees in Ardennes and 12 or 13 degrees in Flanders. The moderate west-southwest wind will shift to the southwest with gusts of 50 km/h.
Cloudiness will be variable during the night with a few showers, before the return of dry weather. At the end of the night, fog may form in upper Belgium. The minimums will be between 3 and 5 degrees in the heights and between 4 and 7 degrees in the other regions. The wind will initially be moderate from the southwest before becoming weak from the south.
Thursday, if the weather will be dry at the start of the day, rain will arrive from France and invade the entire country in the followingnoon. The largest accumulations are expected in the south of the country. A yellow rain alert was also issued between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. in the provinces of Hainaut, Namur and Luxembourg due to an expected accumulation of 25 to 50 mm in certain parts of these territories.
Temperatures will be between 5 and 6 degrees in the Ardennes and 7 or 8 degrees in the rest of the country. The weather will remain cloudy and rainy overnight from Thursday to Friday.
On Friday, clouds will persist and light rain will remain possible in the south of the country under a mercury fluctuating between 4 degrees in the Ardennes heights and 10 degrees on the coast.
