IDC (International Data Corporation) has been discussing various perspectives on Generative AI (Generative AI – GenAI) recently. According to one forecast from the corporation, companies are expected to invest nearly $16 billion globally in GenAI solutions in 2023. This investment, which includes GenAI software as well as related infrastructure hardware and IT/business services, might reach $143 billion by 2027 , representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 73.3%.
Data obtained by artificial intelligence can help companies and corporations identify consumption patterns, data on production, service efficiency, machinery, customer behavior and various other information from the analysis of raw data. In addition to companies, governmentsinstitutions and third sector entities can benefit from the detailed analysis that AI has enabled over the years.
In this context, last month PINTEC Semestral, released by IBGE, demonstrated that, in 2022, 84.9% of Brazilian medium and large industries used advanced technology. Of these, 84.8% did so in Artificial Intelligence, 78.8% in Big Data analysis and 76.7% with the Internet of Things (IoT).
For the CEO and CTO of IPsense, George Randolph, the growth of these technologies, linked to Data Analytics and Generative AI in the coming years is encouraging: “Adding these technologies to what we have available changes not only how companies use their data, but also how they create new and personalized things for their customers”, he says.
George, who leads the technical and innovation area at IPsense, states that using Data Analytics and Generative AI in the daily lives of medium and large companies is more than a strategy, it is a complete change in how they operate and how relate to customers.
“Analyzing data, discovering important information and patterns, and using Generative AI to create tailor-made solutions and content, creates a machine capable of always improving and innovating”, he adds.
The specialist projects a scenario where data not only provides information, but also feeds systems that automatically create and adjust solutions, from marketing messages to operational processes, quickly and accurately with the help of technology.
Also according to PINTEC, Big Data analysis was used by 2,239 medium and large companies, which represents 23.4% of the total and shows that there is still potential for growth in the sectors. Among the areas that used the most resources, administration and commercialization lead the list, followed by production, product project development and logistics.
