After a hearing held on November 6, the Court of Justice of the Community of West African States (ECOWAS) reserved the case concerning Ousmane Sonko for November 17.

Remember that the collective of Ousmane Sonko’s lawyers asked the Court to order the State of Senegal to refrain from any action that might aggravate the dispute, including preventing the removal of their client from the electoral lists and the file electoral in view of the presidential election of 2024.
In addition, the lawyers requested the suspension of the measure to dissolve Sonko’s party, PASTEF, and the restoration of his political rights, as well as the end of Sonko’s pre-trial detention with the consideration of alternative measures that do not harm undermining his political activities.
