steel with metallic blue dial

With elements borrowed from the most emblematic El Primero references and even Zenith chronographs produced before the introduction of the caliber in 1969, the Chronomaster Sport with blue dial essentially evokes two references: the “DeLuca” of the late 1980s and the “Rainbow” from the early 1990s.

As a reminder, the DeLuca, like the Rainbow, was offered at the time with a blue dial.

This year, for the first time in this collection, the 41 mm steel case, equipped with mushroom-style pushers, is topped by a 1/10th of a second bezel which is itself made of steel and not ceramic.

With its polished surface and black-filled engraved indexes, it has a decidedly retro look, reminiscent of the old El Primero models.

One of the most iconic features of El Primero design – the tricolor display – is highlighted here in a new environment; a sunray blue dial. The gray and blue chronograph counters are still remarkable and the blue background is distinguished from the blue counter by different shades and finishes. The date disc matches the dial.

The Chronomaster Sport is equipped with the most recent version of the El Primero caliber, the El Primero 3600. With its high frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 A/h), the movement offers a true indication of tenths of a second.

In addition, the autonomy has been improved and the power reserve reaches 60 hours. The sapphire caseback offers a clear view of the contemporary, more refined and airy architecture of the movement which includes a blue column wheel and an openwork rotor characterized by the five-pointed Zenith star.

The sporty-chic character of this chrono, water-resistant to 100 meters, is completed by a bracelet with three steel links, equipped with an adjustable clasp. This Chronomaster Sport in steel with a blue dial, which joins the current collection, is available in Zenith boutiques as well as authorized retailers around the world.
