Vienna (OTS) – There has been a strike in the metal industry since today. In the sixth round of negotiations, the employers improved their offer, but not far enough for the unions. Why are collective bargaining negotiations in the metal industry so tough this year? Are they a foretaste of further labor disputes in other sectors? And shouldn’t the social partnership be more concerned with compromises in times of crisis?
