After a disassembly revealed that the Huawei Mate 60 already has 47% of parts produced by Chinese companies, a new report from TrendForce indicates that the The potential is for this volume to reach 90% soon.

This is because in an analysis carried out in the company’s supply chain, researchers discovered that the situation should change with the launch of the Huawei P70.

Check out the main Chinese suppliers:

Screen – BOE, Visionox Glass Cover Plate – HNLens Technology, Token Group Antenna – Sz-Sunway RF Components – Maxscend, Vanchip, Smarter Micro Kirin SoC Chip – SMIC Camera Module – Omnivision, Lianchuang Electronics, OFILM.

Despite the great advancement, Huawei still relies on DRAM technology made by South Korean companies such as Samsung and SK Hynix.

Therefore, analysts believe that the Chinese manufacturer needs to encourage local companies like YMTC to remain completely free from sanctions or problems with the United States.

For now, Huawei is not commenting on the matter officially. Still, it is being said behind the scenes that the manufacturer has started to develop its own photo sensor and it might be presented in 2024.

Currently, the company still has stocks of Sony sensors, but the Mate 60 Pro surprised by bringing units from Samsung. In other words, something that demonstrates a certain dependence on foreign technology.

What do you think of Huawei’s advancement? Will the company become independent of Western technology? Tell us your opinion here in the comments field.
