An Angus bull from Chubut took the price record at the Junín de los Andes auction

With good sales at the auction, a new cattle exhibition from Neuquén closed this Sunday in which an Angus bull from a ranch in Chubut took home all the honors, for which $3,500,000 was paid, while another male cattle of the Hereford breed, also from that province, obtained a bid of $3,000,000.

“It was a very good auction with good prices for each category, with interesting bids and a good set of males and females on the track, which sold very well, even in the midst of the climate of uncertainty that the country is experiencing,” said auctioneer Gastón. Peace, just following the day on the premises of the Sociedad Rural de Neuquén.

The highest sales values ​​went to the Grand Champion Angus of the Exhibition, from Huechimapu SA of Chubut, which received $3,500,000, and the Grand Champion pure Hereford registered from Río Frío, Ganadera Esquel, which was sold for $3,000 000.

The pure registered bulls, Hereford and Angus, sold between $1,500,000 and $2,000,000. And the pure controlled Angus bulls at $1,600,000. The general rodeo bulls went for an average of $1,300,000, with one bull standing out from San Ramón, Bariloche, for which $1,800,000 was paid.

The females were also the protagonists of the auction and were all sold at a very good price. Registered pure Herefords averaged $620,000, while red Angus calves averaged $350,000.

Regarding wintering, 100 calves were auctioned, achieving a value per kilo of $1,200. There were discounts for cash payment and also financing for 30 and 60 days.

The animal oath that awarded the great champions of the Exhibition took place on Saturday followingnoon under an intense and surprising snowfall on the property of the Sociedad Rural del Neuquén.

With the participation in the awards ceremony of Nicolás Pino, president of the Argentine Rural Society, the bull presented by San Ramón de Inversora Roland, from Río Negro, was distinguished as Hereford Grand Champion of this edition. While the Grand Champion Angus went to a bull from Huechimapu SA, from Chubut.

At the inauguration of the Exhibition, held this Sunday at the beginning of the auction, Cecilia de Larminat, president of the SRN, highlighted the work of the exhibitors, companies and partners, and expressed that “these are difficult times for production, very uncertainty, but with these exhibitions the field once once more demonstrates that despite everything it continues to focus on improving its herds and producing quality food for everyone.”
