Three area schools claimed state championships in the boys competition of the LHSAA Cross Country Championships at Northwestern State in Natchitoches on Monday.
Country Day won the Division IV title with Episcopal of Acadiana second. Harry Oden and Christian Myers led the way for the Cajuns, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively.

Holy Cross captured the boys Division II championship with David Thibodaux second. The Willow School was fourth. Gage Baldassaro and Cameron Loubat led the way for the Tigers, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jesuit repeated as Division I state champion, holding off a stiff challenge from rival Brother Martin. Jesuit and Brother Martin had nine of the top 10 finishers. Leading the way for the Blue Jays were Brady Mullen and Brady Monahan, who finished first and second, respectively.

Newman was second in Division III.
In girls competition, Academy of the Sacred Heart of New Orleans finished second in Division II, Mount Carmel Academy was second in Division I.
