Climate activists of the last generation protested on Monday from 8 a.m. to around 9:15 a.m. in the city of Salzburg. Loud honking and a lot of dissatisfaction among drivers might be heard. Imbergstrasse was closed – and therefore a bottleneck in early morning traffic.

The Last Generation climate protest on Monday in the city of Salzburg has now ended. The police established the identities of around 12 to 15 activists. “You will be reported for taking part in an unregistered event and for disturbing the order,” says a police spokeswoman.

The activists dispersed the protest independently at 9:15 a.m. Shortly following half past nine, the police were able to reopen the road to traffic. Buses were able to pass the protest procession and the activists let them through. The police redirected traffic at the accident hospital towards Nonntal. Last Generation’s banners read: “Listen to the Climate Council.” Their protest on the first working day of the new week might not be ignored.
