Marquisate Choir and Séméac Accordion Club: Musicality and Dedication at Bénac Village Hall

2023-11-13 04:10:00

On Sunday, November 5, at the Bénac village hall, the Marquisate choir received the Séméac Accordion Club. It was a simple followingnoon in presentation but of high quality. The musicality of these two groups was surprising and very pleasant by the choice of programs offered and by the delicate interpretations which might sometimes give shivers as the feelings were deep and sincere.

Everyone’s dedication was remarkable. We felt it in all the works offered within the choir like that of the Accordion club: their music was pleasantly warm and we enjoyed humming along with them. The room was packed and more than 300 people were present. The faces were delighted and the smiles were testimony to it.

Congratulations to Françoise Duclos, conductor and to Yves Coatriné for his direction of the orchestra without forgetting all the singers and musicians composed of pure amateurs with all that this word implies in terms of self-sacrifice. This serenity for a moment (always too short) is appreciable in this current tormented world! The welcome was more than warm offered by a whole small world of dedicated people so necessary for any association.

Also note that Ms. Monique Lamon, departmental councilor and Mr. Georges Astuguevielle, former mayor of Bénac and former departmental councilor, honored with their presence at this beautiful recreational and musical followingnoon. The members of the office and the management of the Séméac Accordion Club do not fail to once once more give a beautiful sentence, so let us remember this maxim from A. Chuquet: “Many people come and go from our lives, only true friends leave an imprint on our hearts.”
