The National Electoral Justice of the province of Buenos Aires, through Act 33, issued a warning to La Libertad Avanza, andemphasizing the deficiencies that Milei’s party has in the delivery of ballots for the runoff once morest Sergio Massa of Unión por la Patria.
The document is signed by important authorities, including the president of the Federal Court of Appeals of La Plata and the federal judge with electoral jurisdiction in the province. The document highlighted the substantial lack of ballots compared to the indications.
According to the minutes, Each political group must provide up to 350 ballots per voting station through the Argentine Post Office, as well as additional bundles for contingencies.
The Electoral Justice maintained that La Libertad Avanza presented bundles with a considerably smaller number of ballots, sometimes not even reaching 25% of the maximum suggested amount. In addition, non-compliance was noted in the way the bundles were presented, making their control and verification difficult.
The judges have already communicated these deficiencies to the libertarian leader’s representatives, who are in charge of delivering his platform. In contrast, heto another participating alliance, ‘Unión por la Patria’, has not presented similar problems to date.
Beyond the fact that the Electoral Justice highlighted that the poor delivery of ballots by La Libertad Avanza does not comply with the estimated forecasts for the proper development of the election day, they stressed that The Electoral Board cannot send ballots to each voting station if they are not delivered by the political groups in the quantity and manner duly established.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that The Electoral Board does not have ballots itself, since each political group is responsible for their printing and distribution. It is highlighted that the National State allocates specific funds for the printing of ballots, and a sum of $258,379,302.50 was assigned to each of the participating alliances on this occasion.
