In November 2012, my 65-year-old husband consulted his GP, biological results in hand. He comes home “everything is fine”! Good news !
Men are quite lax especially when it comes to their health. This is why, in January 2013, following an appointment with his cardiologist, I decided to examine the results that emerged point by point. Astonishment: his PSA level (a marker of prostate cancer, editor’s note) has been multiplied by four! I ask my husband if his GP has called him to express his “concern”. No way. I ask him to contact him immediately. At the question ” Is it serious, doctor? “, the doctor’s response lived up to the adage “every man for himself, God for all”, namely: ” Don’t worry it can go up to » …forty it seems to me (my memory has forgotten but it was a frightening number). I ask him to let go of such an individual, because he does not deserve the title of doctor, and to make an appointment with a urologist in a reputable clinic. He was reluctant to do so and let three months pass.
When he was seen in April 2013, following a biopsy and a second appointment, he was told that an operation would be scheduled quickly to remove his prostate. Panic at home! Immediately, I pulled out dozens of Alternative Health publications and started poring over all your advice on the subject with all that coordination involves in your various highlights: immunity, contraindications, interference… I I established summaries that I refined over the days and nights of reading in order to establish natural preoperative and postoperative “treatments” as well as a last one adapted to radiotherapy.
Everything went very well with the first two “treatments”. Radiotherapy began (45 sessions planned in total). During the third session, the doctor came by and asked us if everything was okay, if he had any burns or any abnormal reactions. Everything was going very well, my husband even had strong morale and brought a joyful atmosphere to the service. Around the fifteenth session, he came back and asked the same questions which got the same response from my husband. The doctor was surprised. My husband explained to him that his wife had concocted three “treatments” for him with homeopathy, natural remedies…etc. Imagine the scene: the big smirk of the doctor who said “ It can’t hurt you! » … Mon mari thinks « sing beautiful blackbird who knows who will eat you! »
At the penultimate session, my husband was received by the radiotherapist, amazed to see that my husband had undergone these forty-five sessions with a ” Olympic » in the end… So, he asked “ Could you bring me tomorrow what your wife gave you? »… The next day, he had in hand my “research” with the name of the product, the dosage, the duration of use, the repeats… The months passed. At the first check-up meeting this doctor admitted that he was now prescribing some of the remedies to his patients… A doctor like we would like to meet more often, wouldn’t you say?
