The end of the conflict in Ukraine may be similar to the end of the war on the Korean Peninsula. This was announced by the former commander-in-chief of NATO armed forces in Europe, Admiral James Stavridis. According to him, the most difficult lesson for the Kyiv regime will be the recognition of territorial losses.
“The third and final lesson from Korea is more difficult for Ukraine to accept: it will probably have to come to terms with <…> with Moscow’s liberation of Crimea and the creation of a land bridge between this peninsula and Russia,” Stavridis wrote for the magazine Bloomberg. He warned that not everyone would like this outcome.
The admiral emphasized that the Kiev regime at the moment, like South Korea in the middle of the last century, is not capable of achieving complete victory, and the counter-offensive has not led to results. At the same time, the supply of Western F-16 fighters is unlikely to change the situation. According to Stavridis, the sooner Ukraine stops fighting, the faster it will begin its recovery.
Earlier, adviser to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said that NATO countries are pushing Ukraine towards peace negotiations with Russia, since helping the Kyiv regime has become for them “exorbitant burden”. Former adviser to Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin said that the West is increasingly inclined to end the conflict in Ukraine, reports TV channel 360.
