Bring Me The Horizon Concert Incident In Jakarta: What Really Happened

Vocalist Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH), Oliver Sykes spoke regarding the incident that occurred last night during a concert in Ancol, North Jakarta. Through Instagram Stories, he discussed the reasons why his band was no longer on stage following taking a break.

“Hello Indonesia, how are you, Oli here. I just want to give you the context of last night’s events and what really happened,” said Oliver Sykes in a post on the official Bring Me The Horizon account.

Oliver Sykes explained that the condition of the stage last night made it impossible for the concert to continue. Because many particles are worrying because they are considered inadequate.

“So when we performed last night, we stopped following regarding an hour of playing because there were concerns from our crew and also concerns from the local stage crew and the basics of the venue, the sound, the stage was so rocking that it was annoying,” explained Oliver.

Not only that, the video monitor and speakers vibrate and are considered to be dangerous to the audience or the audience Bring Me The Horizon.

“A lot of the video monitors and speakers were all shaking, which was really worrying and there was concern that something would happen,” explained Oliver.

The cancellation of the second day of the BMTH concert was announced by promoter Ravel Entertainment. Ravel Junardy from Ravel Entertainment initially apologized.

“I, Ravel Junardy as the promoter of Ravel Entertainment, would like to clarify and apologize profusely for the lack of a set list for the main performers on the first day of the show due to technical problems,” said Ravel Junardy as the promoter in Ravel Entertainment’s post.

“And we are very sorry to inform you that the show on the second day had to be cancelled,” he continued.

For refunds on the first and second day, they promised to give it.

“As a form of responsibility, Ravel Entertainment will provide a professional refund for the first day and also a full refund on the second day,” he continued.

Ravel as the promoter of the Bring Me the Horizon concert from Ravel Entertainment gave an explanation regarding the band who stopped in the middle of the event during the concert.

“I apologize, it’s okay if you want to curse at me, if you want to throw me, that’s okay. This show, I’ve tried to convince the band,” said Ravel, Friday (10/11/2023) evening.

“The problem is that we want to try our best, but tonight I apologize profusely and deeply that we cannot continue,” he continued.

Before being discontinued, Bring Me the Horizon had performed 11 songs. But at around 22.16, the promoter came up to the stage and told the audience to take a break.

“Guys, let’s take a short break, let BMTH and you rest first, we’ll finish everything later,” explained Ravel on stage.
