Coming to Les Contamines-Montjoie is also the possibility of discovering “the highest nature reserve in France”, a true preserved jewel of 5,500 hectares, the only one in the Mont-Blanc Massif. When you come to the resort spread out from 1,164 to 2,500 meters above sea level, you can also admire the panorama of peaks such as Mont Joly or the Jovets lakes. Located on the legendary Tour du Mont Blanc, the ski area opens its doors from December 16 to April 14.
1/ Ski touring

The Contamines resort offers several opportunities to practice ski touring in complete peace of mind, regardless of the level. Head out into the great outdoors with a guide from the Compagnie des Guides des Contamines to explore the many routes located in the wide open spaces of the Contamines nature reserve.
2/ Biathlon

Les Contamines is a suitable place for biathlon enthusiasts with its stadium approved for international competitions, offering an ideal environment for training. It is then easy to get started with this Olympic discipline combining cross-country skiing and rifle shooting thanks to one-hour sessions offered by the ESF for individuals or groups.
3/ Speed-riding

Speed riding is a discipline combining alpine skiing and paragliding allowing you to slide down the snowy slopes of the resort while deploying a mini-sail for an extra dose of adrenaline. Les Contamines is then an ideal playground with its FFVL (French Free Flight Federation) approved area offering 800 meters of valleys and other changes in slope.
4/ Tandem paragliding
The station offers the opportunity to gain height, carried with the wind during a tandem paragliding experience. Over half a day, thrill-seekers will be able to fly with a breathtaking panoramic view of Mont Blanc, alongside qualified instructors.
5/ Ruisseling

The principle of streaming is to go once morest the flow of frozen waterways; to do this, you have to take off your skis and put on crampons and ice axes. It is an adventure in the heart of the Contamines Nature Reserve surrounded by preserved and wild landscapes. 6/ Ice climbing
In Contamines-Montjoie, on very cold days, we face verticality. 7/ Curling

The Curling Club offers introductions to those who wish to discover the roar of the stone on the Contamines ice rink, all in the open air. Surrounded by the magnificent landscapes of the Dômes de Miage, tactics, precision and strategy are essential in this village where curling is king. It is experiencing real growth in the resort with the International Open Air Curling Tournament, one of the rare outdoor tournaments in France welcoming around twenty teams from Canada, the United States and Switzerland. Introduction possible over two hours.
To fully enjoy your stay, the Meadows refuge run by Céline is a haven of peace nestled at an altitude of 1935 meters in the heart of the Contamines Nature Reserve. It offers a peaceful and comfortable place for hikers and skiers who stop there. A timeless moment far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life facing the majestic Mont-Blanc mountain range.
