Emmanuel got into his vehicle, the father tried to hold him back. He chased following him while he was naked. He broke the driver’s side window of the thief’s vehicle. The local resident tried to detain the fugitive. Emmanuel drove off and dragged the victim for regarding twenty meters. The man was seriously injured. Emmanuel was arrested. He confessed to the theft, but disputed the threats and the break-in. “I was on cocaine and alcohol,” he told the court. “I don’t have many memories.”

The person concerned would have been weaned from drugs for 27 years before having a major relapse approximately three weeks before the events. To support his drug needs, he sold everything he owned. “My client found himself at the bottom of the hole,” explained Me Franck Bosquin, the defendant’s lawyer. The lawyer contested the threats with the screwdriver, but also the injuries caused by the vehicle, believing that the victim had caused his injuries by hanging on. He asked the court that his client benefit from a probationary stay for what exceeds the preventive period.
