In the most recent LBC Latam Best Hospitals Ranking published, 19 Colombian health institutions, including university hospitals and private clinics, were included in the list that measured 39 establishments in Latin America.
In this way, Colombian clinics and hospitals accounted for almost half of all those included, representing 48.7% of the institutions in the ranking, with Mexico being the second country with the highest incidence, with 12.8% participation with five establishments.

Within the Top 10 there are five Colombians: the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation in second place; the Cardioinfantil Foundation in the third; Fundación Valle del Lili in the fifth; the Imbanaco Clinic in the sixth and the Cardiovascular Foundation in the eighth.
Among the 10 best in Colombia, the Pablo Tobón Uribe Hospital follows in 12th place; the Bolivarian University Clinic, 15; the San Vicente Fundación Hospital, 17; SES University Hospital of Caldas, 19; Los Angeles Children’s Hospital Foundation, 24.
And among the nine missing, are the VID Cardio Clinic in 25th place; Medellín General Hospital, 26; El Rosario Clinic, 28; Los Nogales Clinic, 29; Somer Clinic, 31; Bonnadona Clinic, 32; Nariño University Hospital, 35; IMAT Oncomédica AUNA Clinic, 38 and the Portoazul AUNA Clinic at location 39.
Ranking Methodology
The study measured health institutions in seven dimensions to evaluate their level of quality, giving greater weight to Patient Safety, Human Talent and Capacity, with a weight of 25% each within the total score.
In the same way, aspects such as Production, obtaining and dissemination of knowledge (research), 10%; and finally, with a weight of 5% each are dimensions of Environment, social responsibility and governance; Economic and hospital efficiency; and Dignity and patient experience.
