2023-11-10 21:46:30

Negotiations around a purchasing power bonus in the food trade are at an impasse. The unions are planning two days of strike, November 15 and 22.

The objective of the negotiations is to reach a sectoral agreement in the field of food trade, concerning workers in distribution centers and supermarket warehouses.

This consultation has been at a standstill for some time. The unions are demanding a purchasing power bonus of 250 euros for all staff, as well as additional consultation at company level.

A strike notice has been underway in the sector for some time. The unions are therefore organizing two days of strike on November 15 and 22, explains the national secretary of ACV Voeding en Diensten (Food and Services), the Flemish counterpart of the CSC, Steve Rosseel. “This amounts to a strike, with blockages“.

Supermarkets, which are supplied by depots, may also be affected.
