A Hezbollah officer confirmed that “the operations began in the Shebaa Farms area and extended to include all locations with a distance of more than 100 km,” in an interview conducted with him by Al-Mayadeen TV in a video report from the southern border.

The officer pointed out the Israeli deployment, as he explained, “On the southern front, two divisions are deployed in two regions, the Golan region and the Galilee region, the 91st Galilee Division and the Golan Division, which includes a group of brigades divided into battalions and companies deployed on the line. After the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, the Israeli army increased its number of brigades. His preparations on the front were greatly enhanced by the 146th Division on the second line, as well as by large groups of intelligence, air defense, artillery and missile fire means on the front. This means that the Israeli forces on October 7 were in very high readiness and with very great reinforcement on the Lebanese front.

He revealed that “on the other hand, the Islamic Resistance’s deployment was operational and always ready to confront any possible attack on our lands and also to carry out any mission assigned by the leadership.”

He stressed that “the greatest achievement was attracting a large portion of the Israeli forces from inside the country to the Lebanese front,” considering that “attracting the Israeli forces reduced the pressure on our brothers in Gaza.”

The officer revealed that “the basic achievement was to blind the enemy’s eyes and prevent him from seeing.” He also reported that a large number of Merkava tanks were hit and damaged by guided missiles, and that “the basic achievement was the destruction of a large portion of Israeli positions.”

He confirmed that “the Israeli interior was targeted and the work of the Iron Dome was disrupted in many places,” explaining that “the resistance responded to the enemy that attacked the Iqlim al-Tuffah area by expanding the beam of fire and the quality of the response.”

The officer pointed out in a letter to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, that “what the resistance has accumulated in terms of equipment, ammunition, preparedness, and readiness since 2006 will explode in anger and fury once morest the usurping enemy, of whom we have seen only a few so far, and what is coming is greater and under command.”
