The Infectious Diseases Service of the Marcial Quiroga Hospital informs regarding the days and times that its five different external offices operate for better coordination and patient care, which are divided into Infectious Diseases, Travel Medicine, Prep, Psychology and Vectors offices.
Infectious disease is the branch of medicine that is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases caused by microscopic organisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) that cross the body’s natural defensive barriers and then multiply, thereby creating symptoms and diseases. These can be lodged in any organ or system, transforming infectious disease into a necessary complement to the rest of the specialties.
This is why infectology goes beyond the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and has several outpatient clinics according to the patient’s needs with the following days and hours of care:
