The RTX 4000s have been out on the shelves of tech retailers for several months now, but that should not send the RTX 3000s to oblivion, as the latter are still capable of running the latest games. Something easily verifiable with this Lenovo Legion 5 and its RTX 3060 Max-P whose price drops from 999.99 euros to 789.99 euros at Cdiscount this Black November.
The Lenovo Legion are among the most popular gaming laptops on the market, oscillating between mid-range and high-end, their configurations offer uncompromising performance. This Lenovo Legion 5 is no exception, it still has an RTX 3060 Max-P, an indication which means that its power is not restricted, as well as a WQHD screen refreshed at 165 Hz. Today, he benefits from a discount of 210 euros.
The Lenovo Legion 5 15ITH6H in brief
An RTX 3060 Max-P with an Intel Core i5-11400H An IPS-LCD screen in WQHD and refreshed at 165 Hz A 512 GB SSD and 16 GB of RAM
Instead of 999.99 euros, the Lenovo Legion 5 15ITH6H is now available on sale at 789.99 euros at Cdiscount. Additionally, a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming M100 RGB mouse is included in the package. Please note, however, that no OS is installed on this laptop.
A graphics card with maximum performance
At the time of the release of the RTX 3000, manufacturers of gaming laptops indicated whether the graphics card was Max-Q or Max-P, an acronym that is no longer found with the RTX 4000. Max-P GPUs like the RTX 3060 embedded in this Lenovo Legion 5 are those whose TDP is not restricted and whose full potential can be exploited. There is therefore no problem running the latest AAA games in Full HD, and even Quad HD, but the use of ray-tracing and DLSS 2.0 must however be done with parsimony.
With the graphics card, this Lenovo Legion 5 runs on an Intel Core i5-11400H, a six-core processor clocked at 2.7 GHz and capable of reaching a maximum clock frequency of 4.5 GHz. It is assisted by 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and a dedicated graphics solution, Intel Iris Xe, to which the Lenovo Legion 5 switches when it does not need the power of the RTX 3060. Storage is assured by a 512 GB NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD and a second storage slot is free.
A high-definition, ultra-smooth screen
While most 15.6-inch gaming laptops are satisfied with Full HD definition, the IPS-LCD panel of this Lenovo Legion 5 is in WQHD definition (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), which gives it a very good resolution, but also open viewing angles. This display also has a refresh rate of 165 Hz, which makes this Lenovo Legion 5 fluid enough to be suitable for all types of video games and not miss any of the action taking place, even when everything is going a hundred miles an hour!
This Lenovo Legion 5 has full connectivity and a robust 2.4 kg chassis, this is notably due to the RTX 3060 Max-P. Since this graphics card is not restricted in terms of its power, it generates more heat and the chassis must be better ventilated to evacuate heat more easily. Finally, the manufacturer announces an autonomy of 7h30 but this figure must surely be revised downwards given the power required by this configuration.
