“Understanding” but at the same time “troubled by the misinformation” regarding its position, the McDonald’s Morocco company says it has a thought for the communities and victims of Gaza.

“We are deeply saddened by every civilian life lost in Gaza, we are also Moroccans and we have been here for almost thirty years, for better and for worse,” says a Moroccan employee in the video.

McDonald’s Maroc said it was faithful to its Moroccanness, recalling that it is “a 100% Moroccan company which only rents the brand and that its royalties do not support or finance any government, much less a political affiliation”.

Likewise, the franchise indicated “we will have to respect the terms set out in the brand exploitation license contract”.

“We hope that the Almighty Allah covers with His Mercy our Palestinian sisters and brothers, innocent civilian victims of this conflict. We pray to Almighty God to heal the injured and alleviate their suffering,” it is in these terms that the sign concluded its spot.

As a reminder, in a press release posted on “McDonald’s does not fund or support any government involved in this conflict; “All initiatives by our local Master Franchisees were taken independently, without the consent or approval of McDonald’s,” she said.

It should be noted that several international firms are currently the subject of calls for boycotts around the world following the outbreak of Israeli aggression once morest the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
