1. Don’t throw away your pickles!

Contacted by Reader’s Digest, these former employees assure that the pickles sometimes experience unfortunate treatment.

“Some customers would throw the pickles once morest the wall or on the table if they didn’t want them and then we would have to clean up the mess,” said a former employee, who preferred to remain anonymous.

“Put them in with your trash or order without pickles,” he advises.

2. Don’t stack the trays for us

If you are one of those who cleans the table by putting all the trash in the tray to “help” the employees, you need to stop doing that.

“It’s a good thing that customers want to help keep the dining room clean, but by piling up trays with leftover food and trash, employees have a harder time cleaning,” lamented Norah Clark at Reader’s Digest.

This also involves storing the trays near the trash can.

“It’s best to leave the trays and let the staff take care of the cleaning, as they have a system to effectively remove waste and disinfect the trays,” adds Norah.

Ray Morrone, who also worked for McDonald’s for two years, agrees.

“Customers carefully threw their waste into a bin, but recyclable materials were often mixed in with food scraps. I had to rummage through half-eaten Big Macs and hot milkshakes to find something recyclable,” he said.

3. Disappear following ordering

Running to the bathroom following ordering, or leaving to watch the children in the play area can cause its share of problems for employees.

Calling the order number of someone who is not present is particularly irritating for them.

4. Make a McJoke

Emily, who worked at McDonald’s for a year in her late teens, says she lost count of the number of times she encountered someone who thought they were “funny” by making a joke with “Mc” somewhere. go.

“I’ll have a Big Mac with McFries and McNuggets with sweet and sour McSauce and a large McCoke thank you…” she remembers, in despair.

5. Change your mind at the drive-thru

Customers who change their minds at the last second at the drive-thru are another source of annoyance.

The employees understand that kids are indecisive, but what they can’t stand is the adult in the car asking lots of questions regarding which burger to get, or if a meal can come with other items, or why a particular burger is no longer available, or why the ice machine is broken once more…

6. Finding something mysteriously wrong with your order…following eating it

Emily explains that another deplorable practice is taking advantage of McDonald’s policy, whereby employees must prepare a new order if something goes wrong with the order received.

“Almost every shift, a teenager would come and tell me that he had found a hair in his hamburger… even though he had already eaten most of it. They knew what they were doing. And us too!”, she remembers
