And let’s move on to another successful story involving the accessory AirTag. This time, let’s travel to Windsor, a city in Canada where a man managed to recover a stolen car thanks to Apple’s smart tracker.

According to CTV News, Saamer Mansoor discovered, on an unusual Sunday morning, that his car had been taken from his brother’s garage. This might have been the end of a tragic story if he hadn’t placed an AirTag in his vehicle regarding six months earlier — especially following hearing reports of how the device had helped some people recover stolen vehicles.

When you open the Search app (Find My) to try to find the whereregardings of the car, Mansoor discovered that it was in a… motel. He immediately headed to the location with his brother, while also calling the police on the way.

The city police confirmed the story to the report, highlighting that, even though the victim had recovered the vehicle with most of the belongings that were inside it, investigations into the case remain ongoing.

Mansoor, in turn, thanks AirTag for getting his car back. He, who thought he would never need to use the device, in fact, classified his own story as “insane”. “Just be careful,” the Canadian advised.
