Los Temporary arrangements barely lasted 10 days, following intense rain that caused the Railway Bridge to collapse. that connects Viedma and Patagones is no longer safe for traffic. The Municipality decided to close that communication route until the corresponding arrangements are made.
The community’s decision occurred this Tuesday around 9 p.m.where through a statement they reported that “as a precautionary measure, it has been decided to completely close the bridge” and that “new repair work will begin as soon as possible.”
Furthermore, it must be taken into account that This Wednesday will be Municipal Employee Day and the offices will be closed. Only emergencies will be attended to.
The Municipality asked “to circulate with caution, using the Basilio Villarino bridge to access neighboring Carmen de Patagones.
On October 25, the railway bridge was closed for repairsalthough they were temporary since they had anticipated that other more complex works would be required to make this communication route between Viedma and Patagones safe for traffic.
