He added that, “the request of the Public Ministry was granted given the seriousness of the events, it was understood (…) that the only precautionary measure that might be requested was that of preventive prison with the objective of give security to the victim and in response to that it was requested”.
Likewise, he explained that “within the dynamics of domestic violence, situations always occur in which “The defense is going to try to discredit the victim’s testimony.”
However, “the Public Ministry considered that the victim’s story was true and, in accordance with that, proceeded with the formalization for the crime of frustrated femicide“.
The court decreed 45 days to investigate the act of violence, a period in which the soccer player will remain in Santiago 1 prison.
