A 40-year-old from Liège faces three years in prison before the Liège criminal court, before which he must answer for having committed a sordid rape on his partner and having dealt her violent blows. All witnesses agree that the person concerned maintained a toxic relationship for ten years. Some attribute the toxicity of this relationship to the man, but others to the lady.

But according to blood tests, the young woman was far from drunk, as the forty-year-old explains. They then went to a second café located in Rocourt.

There, things got out of hand. The lady allegedly threw a fit of jealousy at her companion. The owner of the establishment and the bouncers asked them to leave the premises. This is where the versions diverge. According to the woman, her companion made her fall the first time before pulling her to the car. When they found themselves in the passenger compartment, she allegedly received a hail of blows, was scratched, bitten, had her breasts pinched and was sexually assaulted. Her companion allegedly raped her. The young woman’s panties got stuck under the driver’s seat. The clothing was stained with the young woman’s blood. When the driver stopped in the Coronmeuse parking lot, she got out of the vehicle to flee.

Unbelievable violence

The man allegedly threw her to the ground and dragged her along the ground in an attempt to put her back in the car. It was a local resident who called for help because the scene was so violent. “She fell with her heels in the stones as she left the café,” said the defendant. “I preferred to leave the café because she was making a scene for me. When we got into the car, she stroked my head then my body. She gave me oral sex. I inserted fingers into her sex and anus, but she agreed.”

According to the accused, it was then that he spoke to her regarding a girl she was jealous of. It was a mutual fight.” The police did not find any traces of blows on the person concerned. According to the psychologist who met the lady, she would be credible. The psychological expert who met the suspect believed he might be sadistic. “Could, that doesn’t mean I am.”

Me Antoine Moreau, who ensures the interests of the forty-year-old, considered that there was doubt. He pleaded for his client’s acquittal for the rape. Me Moreau also requested, if the facts were declared established, that his client benefit from a probationary suspension, independent probation or a probationary suspension.
