With the aim of continuing her dream of dancing, the young woman went through several teachers until she arrived at the Alfonsina Storni Community Center where she met the group Tradiciones Chilenas. There they nurtured her love for dance and helped her become professional with each training session.

Priscila reported that At the age of 6 he officially began to dance, but his mother indicated that from the age of 2 he showed great interest in dance. when at family gatherings I saw everyone present dancing cueca until they were tired. «My whole family is Chilean and since I was little I lived with their traditions, when we have parties the cueca is never missing»he pointed.

Although at the beginning she only performed at traditional events with her group, which allowed her to tour cities throughout the country, the need to want to take a bigger step led her to participate for the first time in national tournaments.. She longed to have her first experience in competitions that would allow her to feel the euphoria combined with the adrenaline of dancing on stage. in front of hundreds of people representing the country that sheltered his entire family.

So this year he trained to prepare for the tournament that would allow him to qualify and enter the Cueca World Championship. Along with Danilo Cona, a 23-year-old young man also from Roca, Priscila participated in the national competition where both were chosen to represent Argentina. “Every year, whether here in Roca or in other provinces, this national competition is held and there the best couple is chosen to participate in the World Cup,” he explained.

After the young couple was selected along with the group, They dedicated themselves to raising the money that allowed them to travel to the city of Antofagasta, a place that became the venue for the XX World Cueca Championship Cofochilex 2023. This event aims to “strengthen ties between Chileans residing in different countries, promoting and encouraging folklore, the practice and preservation of national dance.”
