After regarding a month of devastating war between Israel and the Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip, the injuries of the wounded in Gaza being treated in Egypt revealed the nature of the dangerous weapons used by Israel.

During the Egyptian Minister of Health, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, inspecting the wounded in North Sinai hospitals on Saturday evening, cameras documented a conversation between him and an Egyptian doctor from the treating medical staff, where the latter requested the formation of a forensic medicine committee to examine the injuries and clarify the nature of the weapon used in the bombing.

While Abdel Ghaffar asked the doctor a question regarding the nature of his doubts, he replied that he doubted Israel’s use of internationally banned biological weapons.

The doctor also added that one wounded person was being treated for multiple injuries, including fractures, burns, and shrapnel, explaining that these injuries confirm that civilians were bombarded with an incendiary and penetrating weapon that is internationally prohibited.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health in Gaza had previously reported that the Israeli forces were using a new weapon in bombing, which penetrates bodies and causes explosions inside them and burns that melt the skin, while the shrapnel causes swelling and poisoning.

Undersecretary Yousef Abu Al-Rish said that there were people with 80% burns, which indicates the use of new weapons.

The Ministry also revealed that medical teams in Gaza noticed that the injured suffered severe burns and melting skin that had never been seen before on the bodies of the wounded, making it difficult to treat them, calling on international institutions to reveal the nature of the weapons used and provide the necessary treatments urgently.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Minister of Health announced on Saturday, during his inspection of the wounded in Gaza in North Sinai hospitals, that a large number of injuries are serious, and most of the cases are children, youth, and women, at a rate of more than 70% of the existing cases.

He pointed out that the injuries ranged from fractures, shrapnel, fracture of the skull, and amputation of limbs for ages ranging between 15 and 16 years, and children ages 8 and 9.

He also stressed that Egypt’s hospitals are ready with all their capabilities to receive the wounded Palestinians, stressing that 50 advanced surgeries have been performed so far on wounded people from Gaza, and a comprehensive program is currently being implemented to treat and receive wounded people from the Strip.
