A two-car crash near San Martín generated problems in General Paz

At km 8 of General Paz Avenue, Bacon height, a red Volkswagen Suran and a gray Volkswagen Gol collided. The road accident generated significant delays in General Paz, near Riachuelo. Both drivers were taken to the Zubizarreta hospital.

Around 9 in the morning, two vehicles were involved in a road accident on General Paz Avenue, meters from the San Martín Bridge. Due to the impact, both vehicles blocked traffic, leaving just one lane towards the south of the capital.

Personnel from Carreteras del Sol, firefighters and police from the City of Buenos Aires are working at the scene. The result of the accident was a 32-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man who were transferred by SAME to the Dr. Abel Zubizarreta hospital located on 3952 New York Street, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Devoto, with multiple injuries.

From SAME they confirmed that, despite the bruises, both drivers are out of danger. And they added that at the health center they will carry out the pertinent studies to determine if they had drunk alcohol or if they had drugs in their blood.

According to the first reports, it would be a road incident resulting from poor maneuvering or inattention by both drivers. Apparently, the Suran truck wanted to change lanes and that was when Gol hit it. The collision between both vehicles generates significant delays ranging from Avenida de los Constituciónntes to San Martín. Highways del Sol personnel reported that these delays might be extended and recommended alternative routes from Avenida del Libertador to Avenida San Martín.
