Wedding, honeymoon and reunion – an eternity seems to pass during the “Wedding at First Sight” filming. An ex-participant now reveals how long it really takes.
Landshut – A new season of “Wedding at First Sight” is currently running on Sat.1. The couples get to know each other for the first time at their own wedding, then they go on their honeymoon. The spectators can also accompany the bride and groom when they meet once more at home. Sounds like a lot of time – but how long does filming really take? And a lot of time passes between the wedding and the reunion in Germany? Ex-participant Mario Huber reveals it to IPPEN.MEDIA.
Hardly time to get to know each other? “Wedding at first sight” honeymoon only lasts a few days
Mario Huber stepped in front of the altar in the eighth season of “Wedding at First Sight”. However, the TV experiment that is supposed to turn science into love failed in his case – as with many other “wedding at first sight” couples (the expert reveals why). In the end, there was only enough friendship with his bride Lisa – the two separated. On the show, the two of them still went through the full program: from the wedding to the honeymoon to the reunion in Germany and the big finale.

In “normal” life, all of this takes a lot of time. But how much time goes by during the TV shoot? Although the Landshuter can only speak from his own experiences, he suspects that it is similar for all couples. Almost half a year passed between the application in December 2020 and the surprise filming. After that everything happened very quickly.
“The wedding was on July 9, 2021. From then on, the camera was constantly there. That means: on the day of the wedding, the day following,” he describes. He and Lisa only spent one night in the airport hotel before they started their honeymoon in Italy. “The trip lasted five days, which was constantly accompanied by cameras,” reveals Mario.
Unlike Mario and Lisa: These “wedding at first sight” couples are still together
In ten years of “Wedding at First Sight” there have been far more breakups than happy relationships. But a few couples are still together.

Shown differently on TV: Then the HadeB reunion takes place in Germany
In most Wedding at First Sight episodes, viewers get the impression that some time passes between the honeymoon and the reunion. According to Mario, this can happen, but it is not the rule. “In my case, it was initially planned that Lisa would come with me immediately following the trip, but due to the circumstances, we needed three days to ourselves to let the whole thing sink in and recharge our batteries,” he recalls itself. During their honeymoon, the couple really clashed.

“The homestays weren’t quite as camera-intensive anymore. “They were actually only there for the activities,” the DJ continues. In August there were two more days of filming for the finale. After regarding eight months, the HadeB experiment was finally over – at least on TV. Mario is currently doing well – but recently he gave his fans great concern: The “Wedding at First Sight” star had to go to the hospital. Sources used: IPPEN.MEDIA
