Suspect Kim Gil-su wanted for special robbery <사진=연합뉴스>
Police and correctional authorities are tracking the whereregardings of Kim Gil-soo, who was imprisoned in the Seoul Detention Center as a suspect on special robbery charges and escaped while receiving treatment at a hospital in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Mr. Kim, a 36-year-old man, was transferred to the Seoul Detention Center following swallowing a spoon in the Seocho Police Station detention center in Seoul on the 2nd. He later complained of pain and was receiving hospital treatment for the third day before running away around 6:30 a.m. yesterday (4th).
Mr. Kim is said to have a sturdy physique, 175cm tall and 83kg in weight, and was wearing dark blue top and bottoms and a mask when he ran away.
After running away, it was confirmed that Mr. Kim walked around the northern Gyeonggi area, meeting acquaintances and his younger brother in Uijeongbu and Yangju.
According to YTN, Mr. Kim was later seen at a restaurant near Dangogae Station in Nowon-gu, Seoul at around 12:30 noon yesterday, and his movements were confirmed near Ttukseom around 6pm.
It has been reported that the correctional authorities are putting all their efforts into apprehending Mr. Kim by deploying correctional officers at major transportation points in preparation for the possibility of him escaping from the metropolitan area.
