Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant vowed on Saturday to find and assassinate the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar.

Galant said in a press conference, “We will find Sinwar and eliminate him,” while the Israeli occupation forces continue to engage in street fighting with the Palestinian resistance, which published recordings indicating that many deaths occurred among the ranks of the Israeli army, and the destruction of dozens of military vehicles.

Following the outbreak of the war with Hamas, Israel said that Al-Sinwar and Muhammad Al-Deif (commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades) were the two most important targets for its army in the war.

Galant added, “Sinwar put the fate of the Gaza Strip at stake, and if Nasrallah makes the mistake of entering the war, he will drag Lebanon with him.”

In continuation of the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Minister said, “We will not bring fuel into the Gaza Strip.”

He pointed out that they would not target Egyptian lands, and that they were “doing everything to ensure that terrorism does not enter their lands,” he said.

Gallant renewed his call on the people of Gaza to go to the southern Gaza Strip, “which is a safe place and will not be bombed,” even though the Israeli occupation raids did not stop on southern Gaza.

For 29 days, the Israeli army has been waging a war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the death and injury of thousands of Palestinians, most of them civilians, and causing a catastrophic humanitarian situation, according to warnings issued by international institutions.
