Synergia Energy | Latest Updates on Gas Production & Artificial Lifting at Cambay C-77H Well in India

(Alliance News) – Synergia Energy Ltd said on Friday that gas production rates have plateaued at the Cambay C-77H well in Gujarat, India, in an update on the well’s artificial lifting operations.

The gas production, carbon capture and storage project development company, focused on India and the United Kingdom, said gas rates are currently at 150,000 standard cubic feet per day, with a gas condensate production of six to twelve barrels per day.

Produced water rates are declining and currently stand at 15 barrels per day, according to Synergia Energy, down from an initial peak of around 60 barrels per day.

“Water seepage is believed to be originating from Zones 1 to 4, limiting the production of gas and gas condensate from Zones 5 and 6,” Synergia Energy said.

“The future plan is to see if the fluid column continues to drop, indicating that water ingress from zones 1 through 4 is reducing. Reinstalling a deck cap to isolate zones 1 through 4 remains an option, but it may not be necessary if the fluid column can be reduced to manageable levels.”

Synergia Energy also said the jet pump has been operating “reliably” since it was installed in September.

Further updates will be provided “as they become available,” Synergia Energy said.

Synergia Energy shares were down 1.1% at 0.089 pence each in London on Friday morning.
