Egypt’s 4,500-year-old Giza Pyramids are now hosting a new contemporary art exhibition called “Forever is Now.”
This exhibition is organized by Art D’Égypte, a well-known local art and heritage organization founded in 2016, under the sponsorship of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and UNESCO, and curated by the organization’s founder Nadine Abdel Ghaffar.
“Forever is Now” is the first contemporary art exhibition held in the Giza Pyramids area of Egypt. The exhibition displays installation art works by 10 artists from around the world, including the linear glass sculpture “RA” designed by Dutch artist Sabine Marcelis, French Artist JR’s oversized portraits of Egyptian citizens, the geometric steel sculpture “Ghost Temple” created by Egyptian-British sculptor Sam Shendi, and the half-filled circle designed by Greek artist Costas Varotsos that makes the pyramid appear to be suspended on the water Sculpture “Horizon”.
“Forever is Now” is now open until November 7. The exhibition is free to visit. Interested readers may wish to pay more attention.
